Multiple connections...by same user...not allowed??

Microsoft Windows

Hi all,

Three users at a one client have picked up a problem accessing the internal
network shares.
When accessing shares, they gets asked for a username and password. On
entering these, they get the following message:

\\xyz is not accessible. You might not have permission to user this network
resource. Contact the administrator to find out if you have access
permissions.
Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using
more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous conncetions
to the server or shared resource and try again.

All users are on laptops.
When they VPN into the network, they are authenticated, but still get the
same authentication popup for username and password.

I've tried to VPN as administrator and also get the pop up authentication
box,but once I enter the admin username and password, I'm authenticated and
can see the shares... until I restart my computer!

All assisatance will be much much appreciated!

Many thanks in advance!

Did you try removing the share properties and reSharing?
What happens then?
